How do I borrow books from another library?

Answer

If the UDC Library does not have an item you want, you still have options for getting the item:

UDC students, faculty, and staff are welcome to borrow materials from any of the Washington Research Library Consortium member institutions through Consortium Loan Service. Searches for materials in UDC Search, the library's catalog, will include materials available at WRLC member institutions. You may request that items be delivered to the UDC Library for you to pick up. You may be able to visit member libraries in person to use or borrow materials, but please contact the member library to confirm visitor policies and hours before you visit.

Materials not held at any of the WRLC libraries may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. This can be done online; the requested materials will be delivered to the UDC Library for pick-up.
