Can I reserve the Van Ness campus's library classroom?
Answer
The following guidelines cover the use of the library classroom (38-B104, or Training Room 3) by users not affiliated with the UDC Library.
- The library classroom is for the primary use of the UDC Library, in service of its educational mission, and is available for use by others on an ad hoc basis. Other users must have approval from the UDC Library to use the space.
- UDC faculty, staff, and student organizations may request use of the classroom by emailing ask@udc.libanswers.com. Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. All requests must include the date and time of the request, and the name, title, and email address of the person who will be responsible for the reservation. The UDC Library will confirm or deny the request by email within three business days.
- Requestors may schedule use of the room a maximum of three times per semester.
- The classroom MAY NOT be used for standing, semester-long classes.
- The classroom may be used only during the library’s hours of operation, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
- The person responsible for the reservation must be present at all times during the reservation. Students and guests should not be left alone in the classroom.
