Q. How do I contact a librarian for assistance?

Answer

There is nothing intuitive about using library resources - it is easy to get confused. Sometimes you have no idea what your professor wants you to do with a research paper. Whatever the case may be, if you need to use the library and you're having problems of any sort, you can contact a reference librarian for help.

There are few ways you can do this:

  • Visit the reference desk (Building 39, B Level) during reference desk hours or schedule an appointment with a librarian.
  • Use the Ask A Librarian! box at the right of many of our screens to chat with a UDC reference librarian. When chat is unavailable, you can still submit your question and a librarian will get back to you.
  • Email us at ask@udc.libanswers.com.
  • Call the reference desk: 202-274-5104.
