How do I renew materials I have checked out?

Faculty may renew items for a maximum term of one year. All other patrons may renew items for a maximum of 168 days (24 weeks). At the end of the maximum loan term, items must be returned.
To renew items:
- Sign into My Library Account with your UDC email and password.
- Borrowed items are listed under each lending library in the Washington Research Library Consortium. Renewals for each library must be performed separately.
- Select the items you wish to renew (you may need to View All first) and click the “Renew” link.
- If your renewal was successful, a message with the new due date will appear.
- Materials may be returned to any WRLC library.

New due dates may be limited as a result of the patron account expiration date. This usually relates to the end of a semester. As the new semester approaches, continuing patrons will automatically receive updated account expiration dates and can then renew materials for an additional term, up to the maximum.
