How do I contact a librarian for assistance?

Answer

If you need to use the library and you have questions or are having any challenges, you can contact a reference librarian for help. UDC librarians are here to help you succeed!

There are many ways to contact a librarian:

  • Visit the Reference Desk on the 6th floor of Building 71 (4250 Connecticut Ave. NW) during reference hours
  • Schedule an appointment with a librarian. Appointments are available virtually (on Zoom) or face-to-face.
  • Use the Ask A Librarian! chat feature, available on the main library website in the upper right corner and as a pop-up window elsewhere on the library site, to chat with a UDC reference librarian. When chat is unavailable, you can still submit your question and a librarian will get back to you.
  • Email us at ask@udc.libanswers.com.
  • Call the reference desk: 202-274-5104.
